Welcome to the 11th National Conference of African American Librarians (NCAAL XI) and the 50th Anniversary of the Black Caucus of the American Library Association (BCALA) website!

Please join us for a virtual conference with a touch of Tulsa, the home of Black Wall Street, and where the Tulsa City-County Library serves as your host library. Pre-Conference will be on July 27 and the Virtual Conference will be on July 28 – August 1, 2021.

We will convene to engage and elevate our conference theme: Culture Keepers XI the Sankofa Experience: Inspired by Our Past, Igniting Our Future. The NCAAL XI website is the place to get information about your conference experience. Partaking in the distinctive and exceptional NCAAL learning, career support, and networking. As an attendee, you will be able to find over one hundred presentations, events and activities, author pavilion, and exhibits.
